Why I Chose a Company Whose Values Match My Own

I’m a woman in tech. I’m also a woman of faith. And I’ve learned that the right opportunity doesn’t pull them apart. It brings them together.

I didn’t start my career at DirecTech Connect. I began in the Army National Guard, spent nine years at Avnet Technology Solutions, and led project delivery at agencies in San Diego and Nashville before joining DirecTech in November 2024. I joined because I believe in what the company stands for.

A big vision with a local heart. DirecTech is a family-owned company with a simple goal: give local businesses the technology and support they need without burying them in cost or complexity.

Values you can actually see. Faith, integrity, and doing meaningful work with people who genuinely care. Those aren’t slogans on a wall. They show up in how a team treats its customers and each other, especially when something goes wrong.

Work that serves people. Whether it’s a service business in the field or a growing team that needs reliable systems, the work matters because real people depend on it to earn a living.

If you’re weighing your next role, look past the title and the pay. Ask whether the people you’ll work with share what matters most to you. When they do, faith and work stop pulling in different directions.
